Help wanted: Strength Coach
We are hiring a Strength Coach at VIBE Gym and Wellness Collective and we want someone special.
VIBE is Denver's inclusive fitness and wellness space built specifically for women, genderqueer, and trans people. Our staff reflects that community. BIPOC, bigger bodied, and queer people are encouraged to apply.
Here is who we are looking for:
You are a strength coach who genuinely loves teaching people how to lift. You are comfortable with pre and postpartum bodies, perimenopause and menopause, and all skill levels. You understand how gender affirming care intersects with exercise and you bring a trauma informed approach to everything you do.
Our classes are powerlifting inspired and also incorporate calisthenics, CrossFit, cardio, core, strongman, and progressive overload. We test max outs every six months. Most classes run 60 minutes with half barbell work and half accessories. You will be teaching groups of 12 to 20 people and you need to be confident doing it.
Beyond the coaching, you need to be reliable, communicative, and genuinely excited about being part of this community. We do social outings and special events. We are a team. We also expect you to be independent and able to self manage without needing your hand held.
We are looking to hire by July 1 but can move faster for the right person.
